SADCASE Classic Vehicle Show 2016
What a day. The sun shone and over 400 classic, sports cars and motorbikes, turned up for the first Storrington Classic Vehicle Show. The event was staged by SADCASE) with the support of Storrington and Sullington Parish Council. Cars ranged from Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins through to Mx-5s and some fantastic Minis. It seemed as though just about every marque was represented on the day. The bikes included a big gathering of gleaming Harley Davidsons. Last but not least, were three classic David Brown Tractors that looked as they must have done the day they came off the production line many years ago.Good food, beer and a bit of music helped complete a great atmosphere, with everyone enjoying themselves in the sunshine. Thanks go to the local businesses who supported the event, MJ Car Hire, Carter’s Domestic Appliances and the Greyhound Brewery, also to all those (too many to name individually) who donated tombola prizes. A very special thanks must go to the members of the Goodwood Marshals Club, who sweltered for hours in the sun controlling the traffic and making sure everyone was safely parked up.
SADCASE has been inundated with congratulations since the event and as one visitor put it, “ I was SAD when it was all over; already looking forward to next year” was one great comment. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that came to the show and supported this event, we look forward to updating you on forthcoming events and hope that they will be as well received as this.
All proceeds from the event are to be donated to the well known local charity The Mary How Trust.
