Wow!! What an amazing turnout for our Big Show! The weather was superb and at times blisteringly hot.
Goodwood 73rd Members Meet 2015
The 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting took place this weekend. It is by far the most exclusive of Goodwood’s three motoring events which also includes the legendary Festival of Speed and the nostalgic Revival. The Goodwood Members Meeting is the youngest of the three events. It is also the most expensive, the most exclusive and – as we found out yesterday – the coldest! We watched SADCASE member Brian Arculus bring home his Hillman Minx in 6th place. Well done Brian! We spotted about 50 fellow SADCASE members at the meeting. Some watching, some competing and some marshalling. We do get around!
So what is the Goodwood Members Meeting? Much like the Revival, the Members Meeting revived an older period event, the BARC Members’ Meetings held at Goodwood through the 1950s and 1960s. The British Automobile Racing Club was formed in 1949, although the first Members Meeting was actually held in 1948.
The modern-era Members Meeting takes place at the iconic Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit. Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) members are given ticketing priority rather than the BARC members who marshall and organise the events. The 73rd Goodwood Members Meeting was also opened up to the general public with tickets priced at £80 for the Saturday.
Wow what an excellent weekend at Storrington last weekend. An fabulous selection of cars and once again very well organised by the SADCASE Team and Goodwood Marshall's Club.
Wow! What an amazing event this was! We must have had over 200 cars at the Spur and we were spoilt by the excellent weather and the fabulous array of cars.
The 2019 Drive it Day trip to Gospel Green Cyder Co Ltd went very well indeed with just over 30 of our members cars turning up at Littlehampton.
On behalf of all the SADCASE 'Gearbox' we just wanted to say thank you to all the members who attended the SADCASE Classic Vehicle Show at Ford Airfield on Bank Holiday Monday.
Back in March, when Harry and Lorraine Sherrard first set out on the road to plan the route for this years SADCASE Drive it Day, it was snowing!
A lovely morning at Goodwood with a great variety of cars. The weather was kind today and we were able to enjoy a nice tyre kick and chin wag.
It was a cold morning but the gin clear sky brought the SADCASE/Hardcases out in force for the last breakfast meet of 2017 on Sunday 5 November.
A fabulous morning with a very sunny start and in total 45 cars attended this popular event at the Pagham Beach Cafe.
The 2017 Goodwood Revival roared into full swing on Friday 8 September - with scudding clouds bringing a showery morning and not a little mud in the car parks.
